Entity Normalization

Content can be tagged with entities (names, places, etc) created from automatic entity extraction routines or manually added (for example Organization Name manually added to a financial research piece).

Entity Normalization can often be used by companies who want to normalize the different entity values against their own standard.

Example of use of Entity Normalization

A controlled vocabulary managed in a tool like Ontology Manager might have an agreed label of “British Airways” and our Rulebase classification process would map any entities (“B.A.”, “ba.com”) found in the content or in meta fields to the agreed label.
