Volume 4 - August 2012 A lot has happened since we last communicated with you through our quarterly newsletter; here are some of the latest and greatest happenings at Smartlogic: What’s the Big Deal with Big Data? The amount of data in the world is exploding and analyzing this so-called Big Data- will become a key basis of competition according to a 2011 report by MGI and McKinsey’s Business Technology Office. In this volume of The Semaphore, we will give you a sneak peek at what we, at Smartlogic, are doing with Big Data, and how it can be beneficial to you. In addition, last month, we held a complimentary webinar with Google, our technology partner and NASA Johnson Space Center, our mutual customer. The webinar was well received and showcased the use of the Google Search Appliance in conjunction with Smartlogic’s Semaphore at NASA Johnson Space Center to dramatically improve findability and enhance end user experience to fully exploit 50 years of manned space flight information. Volume 3 - February 2012 As we embark on the New Year, 2012, here's a quick recap of the Year 2011: 2011 was the year when we introduced Content Intelligence. The uptake by analysts, customers and partners has been enormous. In fact, it garnered Smartlogic the Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award. 2011 was the year when we gathered momentum in North America and added on many prestigious customers. Our acquisition of SchemaLogic brought a number of Fortune 1000 companies to the fold such as Astra Zeneca, Boeing, Pfizer and others. We look forward to adding to this rapidly growing list this year. 2011 was also the year for technology innovation. We have made great additions to Semaphore that will have a tremendous impact in the marketplace. Here’s to an even better 2012 and we are already galloping along nicely!
