Semantic Enhancement Server
Real-time Ontology or Taxonomy Queries to Drive Exceptional User Experience
Semaphore’s Semantic Enhancement Server (SES) is a high-speed XML-based index that allows developers to query an ontology or taxonomy in real-time by providing UI components like Topic Maps, Faceted Search, Visualization, Topic Pages, Related Content, etc. to drive an exceptional user experience within search (eg. FAST, Solr, GSA, Attivio, etc.) and content management applications.
Benefits of Semantic Enhancement Server
SES is often used to give the user sufficient navigational aids over the content so that users are:
- Guided to the relevant subject even when a search query is ambiguous.
- Delivered information in context.
- Not overloaded by too much information.
- Provided information that is of high quality and in the right order.More than an ontology API
