Content intelligence experts Smartlogic announced today that Smartlogic’s Semaphore Content Intelligent Platform has been awarded the Certificate of Networthiness (CoN # 201211158) by the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). The CoN accreditation confirms that Semaphore meets strict U.S. Army and Department of Defense (DoD) standards for security, compatibility, supportability and sustainability. This stringent authorization is a requirement for all enterprise software products in the Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network and becoming accredited means that Semaphore is ready for real-time analysis of terabytes of content, while remaining compliant with U.S. military IT standards.
The CoN accreditation is required by all enterprise software products functioning within the U.S. Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network and applies to the entire U.S. Army, including Army Reserve, National Guard and some DoD organizations.
“Now the US Army can join the community of Federal Government departments that utilize Semaphore for real-time analysis of vast quantities of unstructured content without the need for a costly “rip and replace” program,” explained Sean Fagan, Director of Federal Sales. “Tightly integrated with search engines such as the Google Search Appliance, Microsoft SharePoint and FAST, Apache/ Solr as well as many Content Management and Business Intelligence systems, Semaphore endows these information management systems with capabilities such as automatic classification, contextual navigation and metadata term management, so that enterprises can better find, organize, process, monetize, control, secure and govern unstructured content.”
Semaphore Content Intelligence Platform from Smartlogic is being used throughout the Federal Government in DOD, Intel and Civilian sectors to complement their investments in Enterprise Search, Business Intelligence and Content Management. Semaphore provides effective, rapid and accurate control of, and access to, unstructured content with a speed, accuracy and intelligence not achievable today through existing systems - systems that are strained from soaring information volumes, cross- organizational information needs; and the rapidly evolving demands for what and why information is needed and used.
