MarkLogic gives Smartlogic partner award for its ability to enrich text with triples and XML, powering semantic search.
SAN JOSE, CA – Dec. 8, 2014 – MarkLogic recognized Smartlogic with a Partner Excellence Award for Smartlogic’s ability to power MarkLogic’s native semantic and search capabilities.
Semaphore performs ontology-driven semantic analysis to describe and extract information from content of all types and sources. Semaphore turns text into data by analyzing it and creating triples or XML metadata describing the results of that analysis. This machine readable data powers MarkLogic’s native semantic and search capabilities.
“The combination of Smartlogic’s content analysis capabilities and MarkLogic’s data management and analytics gives clients a better, deeper view of their data and content than ever before,” said Jeremy Bentley, Smartlogic CEO. “This ability is helping our clients make better business decisions, create new revenue streams, increase customer intimacy and reduce regulatory and compliance risk.”
Smartlogic and MarkLogic are the established choice for the world’s leading organizations as they combine structured and unstructured data to answer big questions and solve big problems. These organizations are bringing the power of the Semantic Web in-house, while freeing themselves of the restrictions of relational databases and the costs of implementing new schemas. They are securing competitive advantage by automating content intensive manual processes, getting to market quickly with new products, finding insights into the business, unearthing archived knowledge, and building applications more quickly – all by accessing different types of information spread across the organization in different formats and disparate repositories with one query.
Semaphore enriches the MarkLogic knowledge graph so that solutions based on it can be deployed far more rapidly – gaining agility with how enterprises use data and deliver the information users need to be more efficient and informed. MarkLogic’s customers are using Smartlogic to improve the flow of information across multiple systems, support improved analytics and combine Big Data from numerous sources to identify the most likely resolution to customer or product issues.
Smartlogic is the first choice of MarkLogic users, and the two companies have worked closely together to integrate their product roadmaps. Together, Smartlogic and MarkLogic deliver the full power of semantics and reduce development time and costs, while providing increased flexibility to meet the challenge of constantly evolving questions in a dynamic business environment.
