Smartlogic Semaphore Inc. makers of the world-class, Semantic AI platform Semaphore, today announced it has received above a 4.0 out of 5 across all use cases in the November 2018 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Metadata Management Solutions. This follows Smartlogic’s recent recognition in the 2018 Magic Quadrant for Metadata Management Solutions in August.

“We’re extremely pleased with our scores in the Gartner Critical Capabilities for Metadata Management Solutions report. We believe they highlight our strengths and commitment to our customers; business semantics, data enrichment, user experience, support for security and privacy, and complex deployments” Jeremy Bentley, CEO Smartlogic. “As the proliferation of text-based information continues to explode, organizations leverage Semaphore’s Semantic AI value to deploy solutions that automatically analyze, create, and apply rich metadata to address key metadata management use cases.” Smartlogic received a 4.27/5 for Data Governance, 4.16/5 for Data Risk and Compliance, 4.23/5 for Data Analysis and 4.03/5 for Data Value use cases.

Semaphore enables all organizations regardless of location, size or market segment, to harmonize, extract, and enrich metadata to define the context and meaning of their enterprise information. Quality metadata is needed by business users to power information governance, drive sophisticated analytics and automate workflows. Improving the quality of information with Semantic AI allows business users to gain trusted insight and make key business decisions.

The Critical Capabilities for Metadata Management Solutions report “offers the first evaluation of critical capabilities for metadata management solutions. The research is designed to help data and analytics leaders in the selection process of the most suitable metadata management vendor solution. It uses data collected as part of the reference survey for the companion “Magic Quadrant for Metadata Management Solutions,” Gartner client interactions, and the analysts’ own evaluation of the vendors. Vendors included in this evaluation are subject to the same inclusion and exclusion criteria as those established for the corresponding Magic Quadrant (see Inclusion Criteria).”
